Rates, Policies, and FAQs: What to Know Before Mediation
Here is What You Need To Know:
Mediation is a voluntary process, and I understand it can sometimes become emotionally and mentally exhausting. When sessions get intense, people may feel worn out and start agreeing to things just to finish quickly. I want to make sure that doesn’t happen. If I notice someone is giving in just to get it over with, I’ll pause the session and reschedule for another day so everyone has the time and energy to work toward a resolution they truly want—not just what the other person wants.
If you’ve paid for an 8-hour session and we only use 4 hours, the remaining time will be scheduled at no extra cost. If you need more time than originally planned, additional hours can be scheduled at the rate outlined in your agreement. My goal is for every mediation to result in outcomes that feel fair and right for everyone involved.
Fee Schedule and Policies
We believe in transparency and fairness when it comes to fees. Our fee schedule is designed to be equitable for all parties involved, with costs split evenly among participants to ensure equality and cooperation throughout the process. Compared to the expenses associated with attorney fees and litigation, our cost-effective approach to mediation offers a more budget-friendly alternative without compromising on quality or results. All fees are to be paid 10 days prior to the mediation. If the mediation is canceled or rescheduled for any reason within 48 hours from the scheduled mediation date, each party will be charged two hours at the stated hourly fee.
Our rates
I believe in transparent pricing so you know exactly what to expect. My mediation rates are clearly outlined, including hourly fees, session options, and administrative costs. However, every case is unique, and pricing may vary based on your specific situation. Contact me for a personalized quote and to discuss the best mediation plan for your needs.
🚨 Conflict Coaching
Confidential coaching to help you prepare for — or work through — conflict, on your own terms.
Sometimes you don't need someone to bring two sides together — you need someone to help you think clearly about your side. Conflict coaching is a confidential process, for individuals or teams, that helps you prepare for a conflict you're anticipating or work through one that's already underway.
This is different from mediation. In mediation, I work with everyone involved in the conflict together. In conflict coaching, I work with you alone (or your team alone) — the other party isn't in the room. That means you can speak freely, think out loud, and get real clarity before you walk into a hard conversation, or while you're in the middle of one.
Together, we get to the root of what's really driving the conflict, look honestly at your options, and build a practical plan for moving forward. The goal isn't just to resolve this one situation — it's to leave you more confident and capable the next time conflict shows up, whether that's at home, on your team, or across the negotiating table.
Held via Zoom and available as a single session or an ongoing series, for individuals or groups.

Frequently Asked Questions and Answers.
Why can’t mediators give legal advice?
Mediators cannot give legal advice because it’s really important for me to remain completely neutral and not take sides. My role is to help facilitate a productive conversation and guide both of you toward finding a solution that works for everyone. I’m not an attorney, so I can’t offer legal interpretation or advice—my goal is to help you create an agreement together, based on what works best for you both. It’s essential that I stay impartial, so I can support both parties equally and help you reach a fair and voluntary agreement without pushing one side or the other. Your decisions should be made with the full understanding of your own legal rights, which is why I always recommend consulting with an attorney if needed.
Is mediation legally binding?
Yes, agreements reached through mediation can be legally binding if both parties choose to formalize them. Once an agreement is reached, it can be documented in a legally enforceable contract or incorporated into a court order, depending on the nature of the dispute. Our mediators ensure that any agreements reached during mediation comply with legal standards and can withstand legal scrutiny.
Do I need to have an attorney for mediation?
While having an attorney is not required for mediation, participants have the option to consult with one at any point during the process. Some individuals choose to have their attorneys review any agreements reached in mediation before finalizing them. Our mediators focus on facilitating productive discussions and helping participants explore options for resolution, while also respecting their right to seek legal advice if needed.
Are the sessions recorded ?
No. The mediation sessions are not recorded. Everything said in mediation is private and confidential.
Can I bring a friend ?
I no longer allow extra guests during mediation. I only allow the parties and their attorneys to be present during mediation. In the past, friends of clients have been problematic and created more chaos.
